***UPDATE AS OF 3/14***
When we opened our doors nearly 3 years ago, one of our primary goals was to make Locust Lane a vibrant part of the Malvern community. Whether it’s been a night out with neighbors, a corporate event, a family reunion, a fundraiser for neighbors in need, or a Penn State Football Watch Party, we’ve enjoyed meeting you in the Taproom and creating an environment where our community can enjoy each other’s company over a pint.
The current COVID-19 crisis is placing a strain on that environment, and our community in general. Here is what we are doing, and asking you to do, to insure that we are providing the safest environment in our Taproom during the crisis:
STEPS LOCUST LANE IS TAKING:
We will be using single use plastic cups instead of glass pints/mugs.
We will be wiping down all surfaces (tables, chairs, the bar, card readers, touch screens and door handles) frequently throughout the day. Whenever a guest leaves the brewery, that area (bar, table, chair) will be wiped down.
We have removed some barstools to create more space between guests at the bar.
Our staff will be washing their hands frequently throughout their shift.
We have educated our staff on the preventative measures provided by the CDC.
We are discouraging any personal contact - shaking hands, fist bumps, etc.
We are instructing our staff to stay home if they feel symptomatic.
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP:
Throw away your own trash (plastic cups, napkins, food containers) when you’re finished. This will reduce contact between you and our staff, and promote a healthier environment.
Wash your hands when you arrive in the Taproom and before you leave. Also avoid touching your face (eyes, nose and mouth).
If you have to cough or sneeze, do so into the pit of your elbow, or into a tissue/napkin and immediately throw it away.
If possible, pay with your credit card. Enter the card into the reader yourself. The touch screen devices will be cleaned after every transaction.
If you are feeling sluggish, have a cough or a fever, please stay home.
In these trying times, having a chance to relax with some friends and a beer can be a welcome respite. We are committed to providing a clean and safe environment for our guests to enjoy that break from “real life”. We are also aware that this crisis is changing on a daily basis, so we will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves. To keep yourself up to date with the latest information, go to cdc.gov.
Thank you again for accepting Locust Lane as a part of the Malvern community. Together, as a community, we will persevere through this crisis. Take care of yourselves and each other. Cheers!
